There are a number of things we need to share today. An upcoming series of articles is almost completed showing how the MDC leadership is blatantly covering up facts and statistics concerning handfishing. Not only that but the leadership at the CFM is also willing to ignore facts in order to stay in the good graces of Hoskins and the department. Everything we present in this series of upcoming handfishing articles is documented and we will have those available for download.
The Take Back The MDC - A Report For Missouri Elected Officials is now available for download.
450k .PDF
The report is being handed out all over the state to concerned sportsmen who are worried about the direction of the department and its leadership. Feel free to download the report and send it to anyone you know who enjoys the great Missouri Outdoors.
With the release of the report, we have received a large number of emails. Much of the emails are very supportive in our efforts and we would like to share those with you now. Bolded text is our emphasis added to the text.

Dear Sirs,
I want to thank all of you who took the time and effort to establish this well informed website. In my opinion it is not a moment too soon!
With the Missouri Gubernatorial election race heating up it would be nice to know who stands where on what. Over the course of the next
few days I will be trying to do my part by contacting the various candidates in the hopes of finding out where they stand on traditional hunting
and fishing values. I will also let them know that if they bring out the beads and incense they can kiss my vote and my butt goodbye. I am really
appalled by the how easily the flower children and ecoterrorists have infiltrated what I once considered the finest state agency in existence.
Keep up the good work and let me know what more can be done to help out.
Sincerely,
N. N.

Please keep informing us. No one else is!

So how are you and us going to accomplish a removal of all the liberal, anti-hunting, anti-shooting, boondogglers out of the MDC? have tried to expose their under the radar tactics such as the education movement for preventing hunting with the end results being no hunting for all as soon as they get them registered. Tell me please how we might be able to uproot these noxious weeds from the MDC.
How come it took you so long to get up and running after the MDC squander that 12 mil on the downtown MDC center that is still not there?
Keep us informed, the start looks impressive.
Good luck and I'll be hoping and watching.
Sincerely, Jerry B

In other news....
This was sent in by a concerned reader as well.

The following story was cut and pasted from the West Plains Daily Quill published in West Plains, MO edition of Jan 31, 2008. I just thought it was amusing that the MDC has quit their traveling aquarium but AR Game and Fish is willing to bring theirs to MO to let people enjoy it.

Aquarium on display at sport show
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's Aquatic Resources Education Program will feature a 3,000 gallon mobile aquarium at the Greater Ozark Region Outdoor Adventures Sportshow set for Feb. 8 through 10 at the West Plains Civic Center in West Plains, organizers said.
Commission officers will be on duty to assist show staff and special pro bass fishermen with educational programs and fishing lure presentations. The aquarium, filled with native fish and turtles, will be centered in the show arena.
Show coordinators and tank sponsor, Hi-Tech Printing of West Plains, urge all to see the exhibit.
That is an interesting bit of news. It seems that people loved that aquarium so much that other states are having to take up the slack when the MDC falls short. There was no excuse whatsoever why the MDC needed to get rid of such a popular attraction.

Just last month State Senator Dan Clemens made remarks on the Missouri Senate Floor expressing his concerns with the current leadership at the MDC. Please read his remarks and forward them on to others who may wish to read them. Click Here
Please download and pass on the Take Back The MDC report to elected officials concerning the current state of the Missouri Department of Conservation. Please call your state elected representatives and senators and tell them that you are concerned with the Leadership at the MDC. Tell them you want change!
